Multi-Channel Elimination Filter Network

CE7W Wide Bandstop

CE7W are high performance multiple channel "brickwall" bandstops. These filter networks are custom designed to remove only specified TV channels from the CATV spectrum for insertion of local content, while passing all other channels, including adjacent channels. Available on quotation basis.

  • Delete several continuous channels between channels 2 to 105 (e.g., ch.72 thru 78, or ch.13 thru 78)
  • Stopband: > 50dB rejection (ref. to passband level)
  • Low impact on adjacent channels (see graphs), typically 4 dB loss at adjacent carriers (ref. passband level)
  • Bandwidth: 5 to 550 / 750 / 1000 MHz - inquire
  • Dimensions (in): 3.5" / 5.25"/ 7" rack space
  • Supplied with final production graphs

CE7-DN Custom Filter Network

CE7-DN

CE7-DN are custom filter network that may integrate any combination of "brickwall" bandstop, bandpass, highpass, and lowpass, to pass or stop any specific, discrete, channels or frequency bands (see examples below). Pass bands are optimized for lowest loss and ripple and are generally suitable for analog and digital signals. Available on quotation basis.

  • Available for any channels between 40 to 685 MHz
  • Stopband: > 50dB rejection (ref. to passband level)
  • Low impact on adjacent channels (see graphs), typically 4 dB loss at adjacent carriers (ref. passband level)
  • Bandwidth: 5 to 550 / 750 / 1000 MHz - inquire
  • Dimensions: 3.7 to 7" rack panels or multiple panels
  • Supplied with final production graphs

Semi-Adjacent Multi-Channel Elimination Filter Network

BR7W-LQ

High rejection bandstop filter network, is designed to eliminate several channels from the CATV spectrum, to permit insertion of new programs. Passband to bandstop transition is one channel guard band (semi-adjacent), i.e., all frequencies outside the stopband will pass, except adjacent channels. Example: Remove chs 67 to 74 and pass from chs 2 to 65 and 76 to 115.

  • Available for any channels: CATV, 2 to 105, or, UHF, 14 to 69, or, any band from 120 to 650 MHz.
  • Delete continuous channels or discrete channels
  • Selectivity: passband/stopband transition 1 channel or 8 MHz guard band
  • Stopband: > 50 dB ref. to passband
  • Low loss on next-to-adjacent channels ( 3dB below passband level - see sample graphs)
  • Passband thru loss is 1 dB per 1 rack space unit
  • Bandwidth: 550 or 750 MHz (1000 MHz inquire)
  • Dim (in): 1.75 to 7" rack space
  • Supplied with final production graphs

Wide-band channel eliminator, removes specified band of TV channels from the CATV spectrum for reuse, and passes the remainder of the TV spectrum, except frequencies within 5% of 50 dB stopband. Example models - click for CR7W table.

  • Passband to stopband frequency transition is 5%.
  • Deep Stopband 50dB min
  • Upper passband limit is 550 or 870 MHz (1000 MHz available for some models)
  • Custom tailor to remove any frequency band within 5 to 650 MHz, e.g., Pager bandstop - remove frequency band within 120 to 174 MHz
